In the movie Anchorman, Will Ferrel’s character Ron Burgundy jumps into a bear pit. He does this to save his love, but even so he utters this phrase:
“I instantly regret this decision.”
Isn’t it just an awesome phrase?
The alarm clock pierces the wee hours of the morning forcing you to attempt to get out of bed. our reaction: “I instantly regret this decision.”
You walk into work Monday morning, look at your co-workers and say, “I instantly regret this decision.”
Or perhaps you’ll use it when you show up at the family dinner you grudgingly agreed to attend. Or when you go to the dentist. Or the doctor. Or Wal-Mart.
You get the point. This phrase is amazingly versatile.

It is a mark of true wisdom to be able to recognize an incorrect course of action. This phrase makes it clear that not only have you recognized the stupidity of your choice, but it did not take eons of wasted time to come to that realization. Bravo!

I think you just insulted me, Ho. I’m quite nearly, but not so much, offended. Of course, I’m not sure if you actually did. The ambiguity in your comment is so vague and … ambiguous. Hmm, perhaps I should not have replied.
I instantly regret this decision …

I meant no insult to you, good sir. I was merely philosophizing on the value of the phrase you have presented. The use of the tern ‘you’ in my previous comment was merely a generic term indicating the reader in general and not the you that wrote the entry.
If I have caused in you the anxiety that comes with being insulted I do apologize. I obviously did not have the sense to regret my decision either instantly nor otherwise.
